New Pokemon Guide and Tips
Who is my favourite Pokemon?
Personally my favourite Pokemon is Rayquaza. It looks awesome, its mega evolution has great stats and it has 2 great abilities; unnerve and delta stream, depending on the type of attacker you want it to be. You could go with the unnerve ability and make it a defensive Pokemon with moves like toxic and substitute. Or you can make it a physical attacker with delta stream and physical moves such as outrage and fly.
Catching Pokemon
In order to catch Pokemon you need to do two things before you even have a chance of throwing a pokeball and catching the Pokemon; Lower the HP of the Pokemon and put it under a condition- sleep or paralysis.
There are a few ways to catch pokemon, but here is the best way that I have found to catching pokemon;
1) False swipe. You MUST have a pokemon with the move false swipe. False swipe leaves the pokemon with 1HP, so you don’t have to worry about accidentally knocking it out. Pokemon such as scizor and Hazorus learn the move by levelling up. You can get both by recharging. Trust me, it’s worth it.
2) Sleeper or Paralyser- You need a pokemon that can put the target to sleep or paralyse it
3) Pokeballs- Now the pokemon can be caught. You should have a lot of ultra-balls handy. I recommend 40-50 if you’re attempting to catch a legendary. You can also get special type specific pokeballs daily or from the shop which are very useful and recommended to hold onto until meeting that legendary you really want to catch.
And that’s all there is to it.
The hardest pokemon for me to catch was Aerodactyl because it knew the move takedown. This meant that whenever I knocked its HP down it would just use take down continuously until it knocked itself out. I did however manage to catch it eventually. I had to use a pokemon that knew disable to stop it from using takedown again in order for me to catch it.
My team
Out of these the ones I cherish the most are Zapdos and Charizard.
The best combination in my team is with Charizard. When mega evolved it learns the ability drought which powers up fire moves and lets solar beam strike without charging up. This ability powered with the moves, flamethrower, solarbeam, earthquake and dragon pulse, with a timid nature and holding left overs in insanely powerful. Im not too far from mega evolving it.
Another combination is with alakazam. Magic guard ability only allows it to take damage from attacks. So it can’t be damaged by toxic. Flash Alakazam has one of the highest speed stats in the game and can mega evolve. This quick speed is made full use of by striking first with the move calm mind a couple times and then using psychic. This wwould ensure 1 hit Kos on most of the foes team unless they have a dark type pokemon. In which case, if you teach it hidden power fighting, you would even be able to take out dark types.
Tips
Train and keep the pokemon in your team that can mega evolve. They tend to be much stronger.
Use the garden to catch pokemon as often as possible. But only bother catching rare, epic and legendries. You can trade them in later in miracle exchange.
Always refresh fixed exchange. To have strong pokemon the nature is very important, If you have a good pokemon with a bad nature, it may be useful to trade it into fixed exchange to change its nature
Reset pokemon. When you catch a better pokemon than one in your team, in order to level it up quickly you should reset the pokemon you are replacing if it is the same type. For example, I had a haxorus in my team and just recently caught a salamence. They are both dragon types but salamence is legendary and haxorus is epic, so salamence is better. I resetted haxorus which gave me back the sand bags and items I used to upgrade haxorus. I then used them to upgrade salamence who became must stronger than my haxorus was previously.
Miracle exchange. It is useful to exchange pokemon you don’t want or need, This includes legendaries. Even though legendaries are strong, not all are useful. Trading in legendaries you don’t use or need such as, articuno, moltress, etc, can be quite useful. You could gain a legendary that is very useful to you. There’s no point in hanging onto pokemon you won’t use, trade them in!
Moves. It is useful to teach pokemon moves depending on the pokemon, its type, its attributes and ability. For example, if your pokemon has higher physical attack than special attack, it is useless to teach it special attack moves. Instead teach is physical attacks or exchange it in fixed exchange for another nature. Also it is useful to teach it moves to combat super effective moves or other pokemon. For example, teaching alakazam hidden power fighting allows it to combat its weakness of dark type moves. If your pokemon has the ability unnerve, teach it toxic.
Timed eudemon. You should not spend diamonds there unless you intend to win it or specifically want to go for a prize. Winning timed eudemon can be tricky. I would recommend saving up until you had atleast 9000 diamonds in order to ensure victory. A good tip is to watch the timed eudemon until the last day. 30 seconds before the end bid in 10s. do not buy single tickets. Buy 200 points in one go repeatedly first. Buying single tickets wastes time in the final seconds.
Good luck
