A CRAZY YEAR

The first time I knew something about this game was about a year ago. I saw an announcement on Instagram about a Pokemon game, so I decided to try. One year ago, I have so many good moments on this game and on this community.

My favourite Pokemon

One of my favourite Pokemon is Weavile so far. I really like the way he looks like and I was always struggling when I battled vs him. He is a very strong and fast physical attacker. He was also the most difficult to catch for me, because of his nature. I caught at least 30 Sneasel on the Illex Forest before catching and speed+ nature. The Pokemon nature is something crucial, specially for Weavile. He needs to be faster than his opponents. I was very close to mega evolve a Bigoted Weavile, but I kept trying. And finally, I got him:

Then I evolved him into Weavile and then into Mega Weavile. It was very exciting. With this good upgrade (purple) and a good nature we were ready for sweeping on some PVP.

My luckiest moment in the game

There is no doubt about who is my lucky chant.

I was waiting for Dialga to appear on Senior Hunting Ground. I had all the Senior Tickets ready and… he appeared on Timed Eudemon. That was really disgusting and I feel so disappointed. I was thinking on quit the game because of my frustration but suddenly, something happened.

Because of one of the latest updates, all the players received a Platinum Box and a Platinum Key. When I received it, I opened the Platinum Box: a Diamond Box. I had a Diamond key. I opened it and…

I couldn´t believe it. I was so happy because of my luck that I did not realize that I did not have a Groudon. But Only 2 days later Groudon appeared on Senior Hunting and I got it, thanks to the tickets that I had saved for Dialga.

My luck was incredible on that point but it was still better. I mega evolved it some weeks later and I had everything ready to do some fixed exchanges, looking for the best nature possible. And only three exchanges later…

So he clearly become my lucky chant. Then I upgraded him.

Now he is a truly beast. He helps me a lot on PVP and I like using him and Weavile on my main team.

Some tips

· Do not waste your diamonds. Diamonds are very important in the game. They are not easy to get and to save. It is very important that you use them in the correct moment. See below.

· Gasaphon discount + consume event + Special Package. One of the most important things in the game are the Senior Hunting Tickets. If you can save a determinate amount of tickets, you can encounter the strongest Pokemon in the game on the Senior Hunting. You can get some tickets using your diamonds. Sometimes, during the game, you will see some special events:

o Gasaphon discount: 2400 vs 3080 diamonds, you always get at least one ticket doing x10 draw

o Consume events :you can get some special stuff like tickets, bugles, sp candies depending on the number of diamonds you spend.

o Special Package: you can find a good number of tickets if you have a good number of diamonds, and other good items.

If you can combine some of these special events, you will get more and more Senior Hunting tickets and you will be able to encounter Legendary Pokemon. I encounter Groudon after using 59 tickets for example.

· Double drop event. During the last weekend of each month (more or less) you can get double rewards on your adventure. So it is good to save SP until this event. It will help your team to grow faster than spending sp every day.

· Bug catching party. This is another good way to get Senior Hunting Tickets. It is a special event that consists on catching Pokemon to get the most points as possible. You will receive some tickets as reward.

· Mt Moon \ Viridian Forest on Sunday. This event is active every Sunday. Sometimes is Mt Moon, where you can get one free Senior Hunting Ticket and sometimes is Viridian Forest, where you can get some shards of some special items. These items are for Charizard, Blastoise and Venusaur, and they make them quite powerful.

· Do daily tasks. You need to gain exp points to rise your level up. You can also get important stuff from trial. For example: gold, sandbags, statues, exp candies.

· Build a strong team. Try to avoid wasting your resources. Take your time to think about your team and take this things into account:

o Look for the better natures. If you don’t get a good nature, try to catch a better one or do some fixed exchanges. This is annoying sometimes but good natures are essential.

o Keep your team balanced. If you only depend on one Pokemon, you will be on troubles. You will have also some problems if you have some Pokemon of the same type on your team.

· Choose a great guild. You will need to cooperate with some more players for fighting versus other guilds.

· Do some PVP. This is one of the most popular modes of the game. Here you can learn a lot about strategy from the best players of the game.

· Be patient and have fun.
